Jim Mabe Obituary – James Monroe Mabe of Asheboro, died on July 27, 2020, because of an auto collision.
He was two months short of his 89th birthday celebration. Jim was conceived October 12, 1931, to Sally Needham Ferree and Jesse James Mabe who went before him in death.
He abandons his significant other of 62 years, Norma Jean Cashatt Mabe as well as three youngsters, Linda Mabe Galloway, and spouse Ken, Jimmy Mabe, and wife Tammy and John Mabe all of Asheboro.
He was the glad granddad of six grandkids Amber Mabe, James Mabe, Daniel Peoples, Jordan Peoples, Tyler Galloway, and Kendal Galloway, and eight extraordinary grandkids Alex, Ryan, Jake, Liam, Lealand, Gabe, Lyndon, and Jensen.
He was a resigned Lt. Commandant of the U.S. Naval force following 22 years of administration. He was a Helicopter pilot and the recuperation pilot for Walter Schirra during the Mercury Mission in 1962. He additionally flew zeppelins… and was known to fly a dirigible throughout Asheboro once or twice. He was a Bronze Star beneficiary and was exceptionally enthusiastic and glad to have served his country.
Jim showed school at South Asheboro Middle School for a very long time and was known for his comical inclination.
A dedication administration will be held sometime in the not too distant future. Mid-State Cremation is serving the Mabe Family.
